Wonky balls can be caused by a number of adjustments and "positions" on the ball winder.
- First of all make sure the 8" tall post which has a wireform yarn guide on the top is slid all the way in toward the spindle. The only time that post should be slid outward in the slot is when you need to make a really large ball of yarn. See image of how you should position it most of the time.
- Make sure the arm that supports the above post is aimed at the Swift. Aim the arm toward the end of the swift arm where the yarn exits the swift from on its way to the ball winder.
